Get a .me domain for your blog
If you’re in the market for a cool domain name for your WordPress blog, you might want to try .me. It’s the country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Montenegro but makes for a great personal domain, even better than .name.
The landrush period—open to everyone who doesn’t have a trademark—of registering for a .me domain began last June 6 and will end on June 26.
This is followed by the quiet period, from June 26 to July 15:
During this time, the registry is closed to registrars. Names for which there was only one application during the Landrush Period are allocated. Landrush auctions will begin for names that received multiple applications.
Finally, on July 17, open registration begins:
Domain names are registered on a first-come, first-served basis.
