Philippine Blog Awards 2008 Nominations Now Open

This year’s Philippine Blog Awards draws one step closer as the nominations have finally opened. Last time we checked, it’s been moved to July. Now, we have a whopping 36 categories under three divisions: the Best Blog Division, the Best Single Blog Post Division, and the Special Awards.

- Best Network Blogger
From the looks of things, the awards committee has done well in representing as many blogging topics as possible. Descriptions of the awards categories can be found on their respective pages.
Now before you hop off and go on a nomination spree, be sure to check out the criteria for eligbility first. Perhaps the most important one is the minimum age of the blogs (4 months before April 2008) and posts (created during April 2007-2008, maximum of 5 posts per blog).
I know it’s still pretty early to consolidate an ample amount of funds, but I can’t wait to find out what the prizes are—both for the winners and the attendees (raffle!). Not to mention just how swanky this year’s awards night will be. People were supposed to dress in semi-formal to formal attire last year. Will there be a red carpet this time? Fashion police? An afterparty?
Okay, I’m getting ahead of myself. Go show your support by nominating your favorite blogs, blog posts, and bloggers, then write about it on your own blog!
